The New Dry Lab
Based upon award-winning original research, this research paper cum magazine article chronicles the life of a Chichibabin amination.
Although I am now a full-time designer, my roots are humbly grounded in the sciences, particularly chemistry.
While crunching numbers on activation energies, I realized that most academic research is neither appealing nor terribly interesting. As the basis for obtaining grants lies mostly in impressing a panel of broad-picture thinkers, most scientists are ill-equipped with the proper marketing tactics.
Thus, as a supplement to the (very long) research paper, I created a summary titled The New Dry Lab. The resulting project won a Hypercube Scholar Award.
The infographics throughout are meant to help visual learners put together the pieces within the text in order to make a mind-bendingly abstract concept into a graspable reality, though a basic knowledge in computational chemistry is still required.
