Cauchy Magazine

Cauchy is a new experience in learning how established artists, designers and musicians progress from an ocean of possibility to a specific, organized piece of work.

Magazines have long been a staple to the American media diet, though not very much has changed about them since they were first introduced in 1731. As a learning and informational tool, they are limited to being static text and images. Though video-based magazines have come along, nothing has really allowed the reader to use their own senses in enjoying the publication.

Many newcomers to any new hobby or discipline find the distance start and finish, and quit before they get good at whatever it is they want to do. When you're unfamiliar with a subject, the steps in between are seemingly infinite and insurmountable. Thus, Cauchy Magazine was introduced. Its concept was simple: decipher how established artists, designers and scientists progress from an ocean of possibility to a specific, organized piece of work.

Through interviews and interactive pieces, the magazine is designed to put the reader into the shoes of a professional.
